Snowy Egret with Angel Wings

In the morning, you can capture great images of waterfowl foraging for food in pools of water. The low angle of the sunlight and the general lack of wind increase the chance of great reflections on the water's surface. This snowy egret had been working the far shore of a freshwater pool when it suddenly took flight, crossed the pond, and landed near the opposite edge. As I tracked it while in flight, as soon as its legs pulled forward to land, I pressed the shutter button and kept shooting until the snowy folded its wings in. The image I was hoping for was one with the wings spread wide, as you see before you now.
