Barred Owl #3

from $35.00

We had been up in Baxter State Park in Maine for ten days. The morning after we returned home, I went out on the side deck to open up the furniture and table umbrella when I noticed a lot of bird calls. Looking to the front yard I could see a male northern cardinal facing the house and calling out. Not thinking much of it other than it being unusual, I went back into the house to open the front door. That is when I found the barred owl sleeping on the railing of our front deck.

This image was captured through our screen door just as the owl awoke and realized we were home. The screen gave the image an almost dreamy appearance.
