Iris Among the Weeds
Images like this one are why my camera is always nearby. I was at a family gathering at a riverside home my wife's brother had just purchased. I was the designated grill master that day. As I was cooking and flipping I noticed two purple iris' growing among the weeds on the riverbank. Using a shallow depth of field I quickly framed up the shot using the river as a backdrop and then got back to tending the grill.
